Exista "kituri" de repatinare de vanzare pe net. Probabil o fi folosit ceva in genul asta. Oricum este un fals clasic daca pot sa spun asa. Din punct de vedere al stilului, cea mai proasta parte a lui este aversul. Am vazut de mai multe ori inclusiv pe ebay de vanzare piese din acest "lot", ca originale. Uneori vanzatorul era deasupra suspiciunii de a vinde falsuri cu buna stiinta, de unde trag concluzia ca monedele dacice sunt foarte putin cunoscute in afara. De fapt Gunther Dembski considera tipul Varteju Bucuresti ca moneda celtica decazuta (ca stil). Nu vorbeste despre posibila ei batere de catre triburile getice, desi pe Preda il mentioneaza la foarte multe tipuri, altminteri necunoscute altor autori (MGD fiind singura mentiune in aceste cazuri).
A crescut cota pe falsul ala. Probabil se va lua la pretul aproximativ corect pentru acest tip (original). Ca si cei de pe forumancient in ocazii similare, am un sentiment de frustrare ca nu-i pot preveni pe amatori ca-i un fals....Mai ales ca se zvoneste ca ebay va pune copyright pe toate imaginile de pe site, ceea ce va ingreuna "fake reports" de pe forumul mentionat, daca nu-l va bloca in totalitate.

(valabil si pentru alti potential interesati): pe Yahoo exista un grup numit Antiquities Science. Desi are doar 1 an, numara aproape 900 de membri acum, multi dintre ei fiind muzeografi, fizicieni, chimisti etc. care lucreaza in laboratoarele muzeelor si/sau au ca preocupare studierea obiectelor vechi (inclusiv monede) prin metode sofisticate (XRF fiind la loc de cinste). Imi permit sa va recomand sa va inscrieti in acest grup, mesajele si imaginile postate acolo ating toate nivelurile de complexitate, schimbul de informatii este incurajat calduros dar sunt interzise/descurajate abrupt orice mesaje de tip comercial:
